I am sorry to say that I have not blogged in quite a while, life has kept me busy and there never seems to be enough time on any given day to get everything done on the list of life. I am sure that everyone knows how that feels never to get the list done, of course when you think you are done another list seems to magically appear. When people blog there usually needs to be a reason or something inspiring that needs to be said, however for me tonight as I sit here in front of my computer, my motivation is sadness.
I know that there are lots of different religions in the world and I have studied some on my own. In college I took a class on World Religions and what I learned during this time is that there is no particular religion that preaches HATE for another person. There are those few that interpret things differently that others to say different. In particular my heart is deeply saddened by what has happened after the Treyvon/Zimmerman case ended. Before I start getting hate post or anything of such please read the whole post.
There is every type of prejudice of every race, can any race say that they have never preformed a hate crime on a different race? I am not here to take sides of the above mentioned case. I am right down the middle on this. My hearts and prayers go out to both sides, we all need to pray for them continuously. If you cut open a black man what color does he bleed, if you cut open a white man what color does he bleed, if you cut someone open that is from the Orient or of Spanish descent, what color do they all bleed? We ALL BLEED RED………..America is falling apart and it goes from the bottom all the way to the top.
We have lost who we are as a nation, brother has turned against brother and sister against sister. To get back to the great nation we once used to be we need to get back to a simple basic of life. Loving your neighbor we need to get away from posting about all the different cases that happened to this race or that race and got no publicity. This is fueling the HATE on both sides of any race or confrontation, there is only one way to start rebuilding and that is to follow a simple commandment that is taught in Matthew 22:39 ” Love Your neighbor as Yourself. We need people of all races to get back to the basics of ARK Acts of Random Kindness. We need to stop the hate before our nation crumbles into nothing but dust of its’ former granduer.
I leave you this some time in the next 24-48hrs aftering reading this, blog post I challenge you to go to someone of a different race and do an Act of Random Kindness. Don’t know what that will look like for you, sure you ca figure it out. Lets work one person, one good deed at a time to turn this country around.
Blessings,
Pastor Rick
